Michael A. Romano
Michael A. Romano, Sr., is the managing partner of the Orlando office of Garrison, Yount, Forte & Mulcahy, L.L.C. He attended the University of Notre Dame (B.A. 1980) and Notre Dame Law School (J.D. 1983), and he is a member of the bars of the States of Illinois (1983) and Florida (1984). He is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Illinois and Florida, including the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He has been a Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney in Civil Trial Law in the State of Florida since 1997, and the legal publishing company, Martindale-Hubbell has rated him as an AV Preeminent Lawyer since 2003, which is the highest rating available for both legal competence and ethical standards.
Mike has extensive trial experience, and he has represented some of the largest automobile insurance carriers and their insureds in the State of Florida for over thirty years. He has litigated cases throughout the State of Florida, and his daily practice consists primarily of defense work involving wrongful death claims, catastrophic claims, bodily injury claims, uninsured/underinsured motorist claims, trucking claims, declaratory judgment actions, property damage actions, and bad faith actions. Additionally, several large insurance carriers have retained him to defend property damages claims brought against their homeowners.
For several years, various insurance carriers in the State of Florida have also retained Mike to represent them or their insureds at global settlement conferences involving multiple competing claims where wrongful deaths or catastrophic injuries have occurred.
